The Community at Franklin Park and American Baptist Homes of the Midwest (ABHM) would like to welcome Aaron Termain as the new Community Administrator. Prior to joining Franklin Park, Mr. Termain was with Mount Carmel Veterans Service Center overseeing the construction of a Veteran Community Living Center in the Pikes Peak Region as well as managing several Veterans homes.
In 1987, Mr. Termain joined the U.S. Navy, however, he eventually was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. During his career in the Armed Forces Mr. Termain was deployed twice to Afghanistan and once to Iraq and Horn of Africa in support of combat operations. In 2010, he became Chief of Medical Plans & Operations for Headquarters, NORAD & US NORTHCOM at Peterson AFB, CO. Then from March 2013 to May 2015, he commanded the Ft. Carson Warrior Transition Battalion that provided medical care, rehabilitative programs & complex nursing case management to the assigned wounded warriors.
In addition to his military experience, Mr. Termain is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and Assisted Living Administrator. He also holds a Master’s of Public Health in Emergency and Disaster Management and Global Health Studies.
Shanna Eckberg, Chief Operating Officer at ABHM stated, “We feel fortunate to have Aaron on board. His experience and leadership will help maintain the growth at Franklin Park and continue to build a community our residents are proud to call home.”
Mr. Termain is looking forward to joining the team at Franklin Park and serving the residents of downtown Denver. “I think Franklin Park provides great healthcare services to the residents of downtown Denver. Many of our residents are veterans and after serving 29 years in the United States Army, I hope to make them, along with all our residents, feel like Franklin Park is a place they can call home.”
